Olivier Tenaillon

(Arriving August 2009)

Olivier is an Inserm research who will be visiting the lab from 2009 to 2011 on sabbatical from Faculté de Médecine Xavier Bichat. Olivier has studied the evolution of microorganisms, and is particularly interested in the way that mutation and recombination rates vary and influence bacterial evoluiton, the way genes are acquired, and interactions among genes within microbial genomes.

Maud Tenaillon

(Arriving August 2009)

Maud is a CNRS research who will visit the lab during her sabbatical from Station de Génétique Végétale in France. Her research has focues on the evolutionary forces that shape genetic variation in plant systems, with particular interests in adaptation during plant domestication.

Luis Eguiarte

(Arriving Sept. 2009)

Luis is visiting the lab during his sabbatical from the Institute of Ecology in the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Luis has broad interests in molecular evolution, but has particular expertise in the systematics and population biology of plant systems native to Mexico.

Valeria Souza

(Arriving Sept. 2009)

Valeria is a professor in the Faculty of Sciences at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and an investigator in the Laboratory of Molecular and Experimental Evolution who will visit the lab on sabbatical. Valeria is a microbiologist, with interests in the community composition and ecological distributions of microbes as well as the molecular evolution of microbial genomes.
